Official rules
Last updated August 2026
Every Playcation competition is decided by skill: reading a pattern, holding a grid in your head, breaking a code or sorting under pressure. There are no chance mechanics and no wagering on anything other than your own performance.
Tiers
- Hourly — $2 entry, a new instance every hour, rookie difficulty.
- Daily — $5 entry, resets at midnight UTC, rebel difficulty.
- Weekly — $10 entry, closes Sunday night, master difficulty.
- Monthly — $20 entry, closes at month end, legend difficulty.
Instances and scaling
Everyone inside one instance plays the exact same generated challenge, identified by a fingerprint. When an instance reaches 25 entrants it closes to new players and a freshly generated instance of the same tier opens. Each instance carries its own prize pool.
Scoring
- Accuracy is scored first: correct rounds, plus partial credit where a round allows it.
- Speed adds a bonus, capped so that a fast wrong answer never beats a correct one.
- Difficulty applies a multiplier, so higher tiers reward a clean run more.
- Percentile compares your score against every recorded run of that challenge type and difficulty.
Prizes
80% of the entry fees collected by an instance form the prize pool; the remaining 20% is the platform share. Pool distribution across finishing positions is configured per competition and shown on the instance before you enter. Winnings are credited to your wallet after the instance closes.
Voided runs
- Automated input, scripts or emulators.
- Sharing an in-flight challenge with another competitor in the same instance.
- Multiple accounts entering the same instance.
- Any exploit that reveals answers before the round is played.
Free play
Free play generates the same challenge types with no entry fee, no prize pool and no effect on competition standings. Free runs still count towards your XP and streak.
